Community theater is the main focus of the Historic Ruffin Theater, and with its freshly redesigned lighting system and a new state-of-the-art 32 channel sound system, the Ruffin can accommodate anything from a major stage production to a large concert.

The Ruffin Theater puts on a minimum of four plays a year, in addition to musical acts of every genre, comedy routines and special events. The theater is also home to the annual US 51 Country Texaco Country Showdown and the Miss Tipton County Scholarship pageant. Check back often to see what's coming up!

In addition to Ruffin productions, the Historic Ruffin Theater is available for rental when not scheduled for Ruffin events. The Ruffin Theater has over 500 seats, a large stage, a control and sound booth, dressing rooms, restrooms and concession area. The theater is known for its great acoustics.

The Ruffin Theater is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) and depends on the generosity of the community for its continued existence. There are several ways for patrons to play a vital part in helping to keep the doors of the historic theater open by – donating money, services, or supplies.
